So far Obama has abandoned his pledge to fight earmarks. Both McCain and Obama campaigned on promises to fight earmarks, but McCain’s pleas fell on deaf ears amonog Senate Democrats. In particular Harry Reid is a douchebag for personally soliciting Obama to leave the earmarks alone. He defended the process:
